Potríes presents the festival, #Musicfest

From 17 to 20 August will take place in the Valencia Cultural Capital

The City Council of Potríes has presented one of the highlights of the activities planned within the Valencian Cultural Capital, which will take place this summer in the municipality of La Safor. Specifically it is the intercultural festival of music, heritage and gastronomy “POTRÍES #musicfest” that will take place during the days 17, 18, 19 and 20 August.

Far from being the famous music festivals aimed at large masses, “POTRÍES #musicfest” is a proposal where a careful tasting of musical concerts is presented, of high artistic quality, but with a choice of scenarios linked to natural, heritage and of the people and that founds the essence of Potríes as a rural town.

Assumpta Domínguez, Mayor of Potríes, explained that “the #musicfest program that we present, is a proposal rooted in the territory in which it is developed, in which we will combine small musical gems, with our most characteristic patrimonial elements as a rural town: the cassoleria, the heritage of water, the natural landscapes of the hermitage and the river, … all seasoned with a touch of local gastronomy, a combination that will end up generating delicate cultural manifestations, the access of our neighbors and the people who visit us ”

The proposal includes musical performances of various kinds, and from around the world, such as the musical groups: Cats Revoltosos, Gypsy Quartet, MónDuo, Deco Ensemble, Liverpool String Quartet, Llevant Ensemble, Mireia Vives and Borja Penalba, or the performances of the Band of the Santo Blai de Potríes Musical Society and the Symphonic Band of Duitama (Colombia).

Groupings of various musical styles that will perform their performances to the water dividers, to the natural auditorium of the hermitage, in the park of Concordia, in the Molí Canyar, in the church, in the cassoleria or in the town hall itself. It also proposes the realization of a “musical excursion” by several elements and a formative experience by the famous conductor Cristóbal Soler. “An exquisite combination that has been possible thanks to the artistic direction of the festival of our neighbor Ausiàs Garrigós, a magnificent musical asset of our people who wanted to get involved more than personally in this project,” said the mayor.

“POTRÍES #musicfest” has an official website (www.musicfestpotries.com), which can be accessed from the website of the Town Hall of Potríes, where you will learn about programming first-hand, as well as acquire tickets for the concerts-events. Of which there are also free access to any visitor, including in some cases the gastronomic tastings. You can also buy general discounts with discounts. “The objective of the tickets is to regulate the influx and cover specific expenses, such as the cost of the tastings, and we have tried to make them as popular as possible because the main objective is to bring the neighborhood first-class cultural proposals accessible for all audiences, “explains the mayor.
