THE CITY COUNCIL OF POTRIES JOINS THE PROGRAM OF SAVINGS AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN TRANSPORT

  • Potries already has a charging point for electric vehiclesPotries (12/10/18). The City Council of Potries has proceeded to the installation of two parking spaces for electric vehicles with a charging point for public use, just before the town hall, thanks to the Energy Saving and Efficiency Program in transportation, T29B – Electric vehicle recharging infrastructure, with the support of the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The City Council of Potries joins in this way the initiative promoted by GVA IVACE, to promote and promote sustainable mobility and improve the environmental quality of the towns through active policies of energy saving and efficiency in the transport sector, which contribute to the reduction of the energetic consumption and to the reduction of the greenhouse gas emissions and harmful gases.

The mayor of Potries, Assumpta Domínguez, explained that “with this installation we are moving towards an energy transition model based on the reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. A commitment made at the beginning of the legislature by signing the Pact of the Mayoralties for Climate and Energy, which we are developing progressively “. The first mayor has reiterated “the commitment of Potries for the use of clean and renewable energy as one of the essential measures to curb the effects of global warming.” In that sense Dominguez recalled that the electricity supply of all public buildings comes from green energy after the change of the supplier company.

The City Council also has a municipal ordinance that regulates the tax rebates of the 30% circulation tax for hybrid vehicles and 50% for electric vehicles.

Measures that are complemented with other actions such as the renovation of the luminaire at low consumption of buildings and public facilities as well as streets and roads and that have allowed a reduction in the electricity bill, in addition to minimizing the impact of consumption about the environment.
